Description

Quiche Antiqua is an elegant old-style serif typeface revived and developed from Plantin Antiqua, a typeface by Genzsch&Heyse foundry (presumably) released in 1913. Quiche Antiqua is predominantly dedicated for publications, in particular, literature. Hence, it embraces the vintage, sensible vibe of old book and document, which is suitable for narrative prose fiction spirit. The name “Quiche" implies something sweet and delicious but also alluring. Meanwhile, the name keeps “Antiqua" part to preserve the original source of the typeface, the Roman genre and its ultimate purpose for book publication. Due to strict timeline, (at least for now), Quiche Antiqua has 277 glyphs in total, supports Latin and Vietnamese, with a few German characters, since it draws sole inspiration from the original German specimen by Genzsch&Heyse and German Romanticism in art and philosophy.
